Breath and Body Awareness for Sensual Living

Breath and Body Awareness for Sensual Living - In Breath Control and Body Awareness for Sensual Living, Cruel Valentine will help students reconnect with the self by utilizing natural breathing techniques, body exploration, and other grounding exercises to help each student to truly live in the moment as their authentic self. This class is an excellent fit for anyone interested in learning rituals and exercises to ground oneself and build comfort and confidence with the way one moves through the world. All genders and orientations welcome. Please wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Split sole dance shoes, socks, or bare feet are best for this class. We'll also be spending a lot of time on the ground, so consider bringing a yoga mat, towel, or blanket if that would make you more comfortable. Make sure to bring a water bottle as well!  

NOTE: If you would like to make Valentine aware of any injuries, conditions, physical constraints, or other issues that might impact your participation, please let Valentine know in advance by emailing info@CruelValentine.com or at the beginning of class so that they can adjust the positioning and movement used in class to your needs.

Cruel Valentine is an award-winning, international burlesque entertainer, adult performer, dominatrix, and artist. They serve as a board member and consultant for alternative, creative, and adult companies in Chicago and beyond. Valentine holds a BA in Musical Theatre and an MA in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago, a certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University, and they’re currently studying at DePaul University College of Law. Their teaching credits include many university workshops, and span topics such as performance, business, sexual health, sex worker rights, and more.
