Embodied Breathwork (Thurs)

Course Description:

During this workshop, Ryn will lead folks through sequences of guided movement, meditation and self-massage. Using methods based on Zen practices called Do-in Ho (導引法) and Nanso no Ho, we will explore methods of self care, connection, and exploration. Cushions and chairs will be provided, and folks are encouraged to dress comfy and bring a blanket or journal along if they'd like.

Instructor Bio:

I'm Eli Ryn Brown, or 転竹 Tenchiku (they/she/he), a Black, queer, and nonbinary communal healing practitioner. My practice is grounded in meditation as an act of abolition, and communal healing as part of the radical rest that helps sustain revolutionary action. I use my martial arts and meditation experience to bring accessible community healing options to marginalized groups and people in need, especially queer and trans people of color.

Han Training Venue Information:

All non-members will be asked to show ID and vaccination cards at the door. As always masks will be required in the space at all times. Space is equipped with wheelchair accessible ramps and diffused lighting. We will be limiting capacity indoors as necessary. Quiet spaces available for those who need it. Restrooms are unfortunately not accessible to mobility devices.
